Does ErrorFix Work?

Our ErrorFix Review

The first thing we realized after installing Error Fix is that it’s much more than just a registry cleaner.  It is more like an advanced system error fixer and optimizer. The scanner has 3 main components: a registry cleaner, an evidence cleaner, and a junk file cleaner.  You can run all 3 from a 1-Click scan button, and you are also given the option of running any individual component separately.  These are not crippled “after-thought” features, the developers have put a lot of time in here.  The evidence cleaner even features white-lists and a “DOD-level” secure file shredder, and is worthy of being sold as a separate product.

There are also many, many other functions that are included that are not tied to the “1-Click Scan” but can be run individually.  For instance, there is a BHO Manager (remove unwanted toolbars from Internet Explorer), an Uninstall Manager (remove programs with broken uninstallers), a Startup Manager (manage what programs automatically start), and half a dozen others.  In terms of value, Error Fix delivers it in spades.

Error Fix gave us excellent results during our tests.  It cleaned up the registry errors on our test PC, and also corrected many other issues outside the registry such as removing temporary junk files, optimizing our Windows performance profile, and even optimized our network connection.  Check out the screenshots for images of those tools.  We give Error Fix full marks for effectiveness, and congratulate the developers for creating a great all-round Windows error repair & optimization tool.

Error Fix’s backup options are much better than competing cleaners. It will create registry backups before repairs are done, just in case you need to restore a removed entry.  It also backs up Windows settings that were changed by it’s system optimizer component.  Error Fix will warn you when it is about to remove your internet history files and provides a way to cancel it.  Most impressive is that it can create/restore system restore points and will even ask you if you’d like to make a system restore point when you first run it.  Very few registry cleaners bother to do that.

It’s interface design is very quick and easy to navigate, even with so many extra features built-in.  The 1-Click Scan works brilliantly.  When it finds problems it will categorize them by type (Registry, Junk File, Privacy, Bad ActiveX, etc) and you can navigate through the error report using tabs or from hyperlinks on the results overview screen.

We give Error Fix nearly full marks for ease-of-use. We deducted half a point for one issue.  There is a “PC Health Meter” graphic that is displayed after a scan is done, and it will say “Low”, or “Good”, etc.  But it didn’t work as we expected.  See, Error Fix detected internet history files, and we choose to keep them instead of removing them.  Because of that the PC Health Meter gave a “Low Health” display because it thinks our PC still has problems even though we want ignore them.  We were eventually able to get a “Good” reading by running the scanner multiple times, and playing around with different options.  We suggest taking the PC Health meter with a grain of salt.

Support options are a product manual, FAQ, online support system, and Live Chat.  We tested the live chat function out, and we are happy to report that an Error Fix representative answered our request and questions very promptly.

We are also pleased to say that Error Fix registry cleaner is compatible with Windows 64-bit.

Is ErrorFix Safe?

Softpedia, a trusted online resource, has thoroughly tested the software and found it to be completely clean of any malware. As it was found to be absolutely clean, it can be installed without any concern by users, Softpedia says.

Also, automatic backups are created before repairs are done to avoid accidents.  It can also create system restore points.  There are also confirmation alerts before removing your internet history files.  It is one of the safest cleaners we have ever tried.
